Press Release by Acting United States Attorney, October 25, 2007FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 25, 2007 PRESS RELEASE Acting United States Attorney, John Green, announced today, October 25, 2007, that Cory Voorhis, age 38, a Special Agent with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, stationed in Denver, Colorado, was charged in Federal District Court for the District of Colorado, with 3 counts of exceeding his authorized access to a government computer. Each of the three counts Voorhis is alleged to have committed is a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year imprisonment, and/or a fine not to exceed $100,000.00. The three charges were set forth in an Information filed by the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Wyoming as the Colorado United States Attorney's Office has been recused from this case. The charges against Voorhis stem from a joint investigation conducted by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of Professional Responsibility. An information is only an accusation.
